Wearing and Break In

Soleutions™  Personalized Orthotics may require a break in period.  Many people who have poor feet with fallen arches or extremely high arches may take time to get accustomed to these orthotics.

HAVE YOU EVER WORN BIRKENSTOCK® SANDALS?  Soleutions™ orthotics have arch and metatarsal support similar to BIRKENSTOCK® .   Your feet may take time to adjust as they did with the BIRKENSTOCK®  product.  Once the break in period passes, you’ll enjoy the benefits of proper foot, leg, hip and back alignment.

  1. If reasonable, remove extra padding, such as factory sock-liners and insoles, from the inside of both shoes.

  2. Insert your newly molded Soleutions™  Personalized Orthotics into your shoe making sure to notice RIGHT FOOT and LEFT FOOT.

  3. An optional pair of Companion sock-liners may help shorten the break in period.  They are designed to compliment the orthotic by quickly conforming to the foot.  It is recommended to wear them on top of the orthotics.  They can be optionally worn underneath the orthotics should you prefer direct foot contact with the orthotic.

  1. NEVER wear your Soleutions™ Personalized Orthotics if you experience foot pain.

  2. If uncomfortable, wear for 30 minute periods several times per day for the first week.

  3. Slowly increase your time wearing Soleutions™  Personalized Orthotics until you can comfortably wear them all the time.  BE PATIENT, it may take up to 3 - 4 weeks to realize the full benefits of your Personalized Orthotics.

 Soleutions Orthotic Sock-Liners

Companion sock-liner

The Companion sock-liner is a specially designed, very thin insole which will quickly conform to your foot and around the orthotic as shown below.  It may shorten the break in period when worn on top of the orthotic as it quickly takes the shape of the orthotic while offering comfort to the bottom of your foot.

Companion Sockliner Next to Orthotic

Above picture shows Companion sock-liner sitting beside orthotic after being worn one week - The Companion sock-liner starts out flat but soon takes the shape of the Personalized Orthotic and your foot.

The Companion sock-liner will also keep the orthotic stabilized in one location during normal use and it will allow the foot to slide in and out of your shoe more smoothly.
